Concrete Driveways, Patios and Backyards in Cerritos

We pour new driveways, patios, stamped concrete, pool decks and walkways for homeowners in Cerritos and nearby towns like Artesia and Lakewood. Before we suggest anything, we walk your property, check the soil, slope and drainage, and tell you plainly what we see. Then you decide.

  • Site check before any plan
  • Written line-item estimates
  • Permits pulled when required
  • Cleanup at the end of each day

Why Homeowners Call Us First

Most concrete problems start before the truck arrives, in the base, the grade or the drainage plan. So we spend our first visit looking, measuring and explaining.

We look before we recommend

On the first visit we check how water moves across your yard, how firm the soil is, and what condition any old concrete is in. You hear what we found in plain words, and you see the photos we took.

Estimates you can read line by line

Your written estimate separates demolition, haul-off, base prep, reinforcement, the pour and the finish. If something changes your number, you can see exactly which line it is.

Honest about what you need

Sometimes a smaller pad, a simpler broom finish or a different layout does the job just as well. If that is the case, we say so, even when the bigger job would pay us more.

Your property treated with care

We protect lawns, planters, walls and fences near the work area, keep the driveway clear when we can, and clean up before we leave each day. Neighbors notice, and so do you.

Permits handled for you

When a project needs a city permit, such as a new driveway approach at the street, we pull it and schedule the inspection so you are not left sorting it out.

New Concrete for Every Part of Your Home

We have been in business 15+ years, we hold a license from the California State License Board (CSLB), and we back our work with a 1-year warranty. Out front, we pour driveways, walkways, sidewalks and entry steps; out back, we build patios, pool decks, courtyards and full concrete backyards, with stamped finishes wherever you want pattern and color. We also handle garage floors, narrow runs along the side of the house, pads sized for an RV and plain slabs for sheds or equipment. No matter the project, the first step is a close look at the ground the new concrete will rest on, and each service below explains how that job runs and what affects its price.

  • Driveways

Tear-out and replacement of worn concrete driveways, with the base, drainage and reinforcement checked and planned before anything is poured.

  • Patios

New concrete patios built on proper base prep and slope, planned after we check your yard's soil and drainage.

  • Stamped Concrete

Patterned, colored concrete for patios, walkways and driveways, poured new after we check your soil, drainage and layout.

  • Concrete Pool Decks

New concrete pool decks with proper slope, sealed joints at the coping and a textured finish that stays safe underfoot when wet.

  • Concrete Backyards

Full backyard concrete laid out around how you use the space, with the grade set so rainwater moves away from your home.

  • Concrete Slabs

Slabs for sheds, hot tubs, equipment and open yard space, built on compacted base with proper slope and the right reinforcement.

  • Concrete Steps and Stairs

New front, back and side-door concrete steps with even risers, proper footings and a non-slip finish, planned after we look over what is there now.

  • Concrete Side Yards

New concrete for the narrow strip beside your house, sloped to move water away from the foundation and sized for bins, gates and equipment.

  • RV Parking Pads

A thick, rebar-reinforced slab sized to your RV or trailer, with a compacted base and drainage planned before any concrete is poured.

  • Garage Floors

We tear out cracked, sunken or oil-soaked garage slabs and pour a new floor with solid base prep, proper slope toward the door and clean control joints.

  • Concrete Courtyards

New concrete courtyards planned around your walls, doors and drains, with a site inspection and plain findings before we suggest a design.

  • Walkways and Sidewalks

New concrete walkways and sidewalks with a solid base, proper slope and clean joints, planned after we walk the path with you.

A Local Concrete Company That Listens First

We are a Cerritos concrete contractor focused on new flatwork for homeowners: driveways, patios, pool decks, backyards and the paths that tie them together. Our approach is simple. We look closely, we explain what we see, and we let you make the call.

Many homes around here have original driveways and patios that have settled, tilted toward the house or shifted with the clay underneath. When it is time to replace them, we want the new concrete to handle the next few decades better than the old one did. That starts with getting the base, slope and drainage right, not with the finish.

You can read more about how we work on our About page, or browse our Services page for details on each type of project.

What Shapes the Cost of Your Concrete Project

Two patios of the same size can price very differently. The difference usually comes from what is underneath, what has to come out and how easy it is to reach the spot. Here is what we look at when we put your estimate together.

We give you a written estimate after we have seen your property, so the number reflects your soil, access and design, not a guess. Get your quote by phone and we will set up the visit.

Size and thickness
Square footage drives the amount of concrete, but thickness matters too. An RV pad or driveway needs a thicker slab and more reinforcement than a garden walkway.
Removing old concrete
Breaking out an existing slab and hauling it away adds labor, equipment and dump fees. Thick or heavily reinforced concrete takes longer to remove.
Soil and base preparation
Clay soils, common across the area, swell when wet and shrink as they dry. Where we find soft or expansive soil, we dig deeper and add compacted base so the new slab has solid support.
Finish and color
A plain broom finish costs the least. Stamped patterns, integral color, exposed aggregate and sealers each add materials and finishing time.
How we get concrete to the forms
When the truck can park at the curb beside a front driveway, concrete flows straight from the chute into the forms. If the pour is behind the house with no gate wide enough for equipment, we bring in a line pump or move the mix by wheelbarrow, and that extra handling adds labor.
Permits and drainage
City permits, inspections and drainage details like channel drains or slope corrections all appear as their own lines on your estimate.

How a Concrete Job Runs With Us

Most residential projects follow the same five steps. You will know what is happening each day and what comes next.

  1. 1

    Your phone call

Tell us what you have in mind and a little about the space. We ask a few questions and set a time to come out.

  2. 2

    On-site inspection

We measure, check slope and drainage, probe the soil and look over any concrete that has to go. You get our findings and photos before any recommendation.

  3. 3

    Written estimate and plan

We send a line-item estimate with the layout, thickness, reinforcement and finish spelled out. If a permit is needed, we explain the steps and handle the paperwork.

  4. 4

    Prep, forms and pour

We remove old concrete, grade and compact the base, set forms and rebar, then pour and finish. Most pours take a single day, weather permitting.

  5. 5

    Curing and cleanup

We clean the site, leave the forms until the concrete is ready, and tell you when you can walk on it and when it can take a car. Foot traffic is usually fine in a day or two, vehicles take longer.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Something not covered here? (562) 442-1399

Do you inspect the site before giving a price?

Yes, every estimate starts with a visit to your property. We check the soil, slope, drainage, access and any concrete that needs to come out. Pricing without seeing the ground is how surprise costs happen, so we avoid it.

How do I know you are not overselling me?

We show you what we found, with photos, and explain why each item is on the estimate. If a simpler layout or finish will serve you well, we tell you. The decision stays with you, and there is no pressure to sign on the spot.

Do I need a permit for new concrete?

It depends on the project and the city. Driveway approaches that connect to the street and some larger slabs often need one, while many backyard patios do not. If yours does, we pull the permit and schedule the inspection.

How long before I can use my new driveway or patio?

Most people can walk on new concrete after a day or two. Cars should wait longer, usually about a week, and heavy vehicles like RVs a bit more. We give you the exact timing for your slab when we finish.

Will the work disrupt my home?

There is some noise on demolition day and a concrete truck on pour day. We protect nearby plants, walls and fences, keep a path to your door, and clean up before we leave each day. We also tell you in advance when you will need to park on the street.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, our work comes with a 1-year warranty. We go over what it covers when we walk you through your estimate, so you know before the job starts.

Can you match stamped concrete or color to my home?

We bring pattern and color samples to the site visit so you can see them against your house, pavers or pool. Seeing them in your own light makes the choice much easier than picking from a screen.
